Who we are

We are a group of passionate Aston Villa fans who thought it the right time to setup a site to air our opinions.

We would like to state that despite the fact that we are often able to get knowledge from our sources at the club, that our views expressed are NOT of the football club, and therefore should not be take as official comments attributed to the board, manager, players, or other connected parties.

We have no direct alliegance to the board, current or previous manager(s), or players, and therefore our views are unbiased by the club directly. Our views are aired in what we believe is the best interests of the club, irrespective of the thoughts or opinions voiced by the aforementioned people. We seek to air our views in a sensible, and considered way rather than attempting to be swept up in the emotion that often runs high both in our club, and in the game in general.

The Team

Matt Turvey – Owner/Editor-in-Chief

Matt is a long time supporter of Aston Villa Football Club, having been brought up in an extended family of fans, and growing up not far from the club in North Road, Aston. Over the course of his years, Matt has been a regular season ticket holder predominately in the Witton Lane stand.

He’s probably most likely to be remembered as the only person on the planet to have bought a shirt with “Curcic 26” on the back (Sasa would be proud – well if Matt was a woman).

Matt currently writes for the Express & Star as a columnist & blogger, and has previously written for Football365.com and BT’s “Life’s A Pitch”.

Matt is also the person behind the design, development, and running of the site itself.

John Clark – Columnist

John Clark is a writer and editor living in Denver, Colorado. He’s followed Aston Villa since the 1970s, somehow avoiding the clutches of Spurs and their like in London, and is bringing up his two children properly as well. He got his start in journalism writing about professional cycling. John is currently at work on his first novel, which has nothing to do with football. He is, by all accounts, a very nice man. Really.

Kristina Montesano – Columnist

Kristina Montesano is an Aston Villa fan living in New York. She currently acts as editor for articles from the site’s writing team. She is also a fervent fan of fluid football as a follower of Spanish team Barcelona.

Away from football, Kristina is an English tutor for a New York university and is a published writer following her debut book “Piper At The Gates”.
