Okay, I lied. Here’s a match report, for what it’s worth.

Not much to say other than Villa could’ve had more than enough goals in the first half, and they simply didn’t convert their chances or turn all the possession or pressure into goals. That left Bradford inexplicably in it, and of course they did the one thing they needed to do, get a set piece, and Villa couldn’t recover.

It’s hard to understand how we can be so inept on set pieces at both ends of the pitch.

You can offer your various analyses…For me, I’ve seen it too many times in too many sports. When you’re dominating, you have to make it count and put the knife in. When you don’t, it comes back to haunt you more often than not.
