There’s two sides being shown at Villa: the Mob, getting their pitchforks out to overthrow another king (the third in as many years), and the Other Mob, the ones who are finally saying “Stop: it’s better than the other tyrants, even if the crop yield isn’t as plentiful.”

And they are correct—the taxes are lower and the king’s guard have been replaced by people who actually try and protect the city, giving their all, all the time.

But the crops still haven’t come in. It was bad last year, it was bad the year before. But this year, it’s the worst ever. The king is trying. He’s not relying on the same old methods: he’s putting in irrigation, helping the soil recover, and, above all, he’s actually relying on the soil, and the home-grown crops.

The fact stands that last year we as fans wanted improvement in the Villa’s Ideals. We wanted Collins, Dunne, Warnock, Heskey, and Hutton all gone.

Have you seen them on the pitch this season? No? That’s because PL did what no one else would, and stuck to his guns. They are gone.

We wanted to get a better scout, to look over Europe and find gems…Well, we have one, one of the best. I can’t wait till the summer transfer window.

We wanted the kids to be given time on the field, so we would know if they can make it. And again, they have been given time—we are recognizing strengths, and weaknesses, and we are making fixes.

Clark is, to me, looking like the real deal, just really young, and everyone knows CDs get better later in their careers.

Bannan is looking much better, being cured of his Hollywood passing tendencies. And Weimann is being given time as well, and has finally found the net, twice, against the greatest English team ever.

Have we seen instant results? No. But have we seen left backs and right backs played as outside mids? No. Have we seen another Tottenham performance? No. And even if people wanna say yes, it’s a no.

We have never started a game this season with no intention of winning. We just have not.

One last point: When we played Norwich, we had 33,000 fans show up. When we played United, we had 40,000. But when we traveled to Sunderland, they had 41,000 fans show up—for a game against Villa! They had a thousand more than we did versus United.

You tell me, who is letting who down? Looks like we should be putting our butts in our seats—if not for the results, then for the effort and the positives I stated above.

Keep the faith. In PL I trust. I don’t have blind-faith trust, but I trust in what he has shown since he came.
