Just a brief message to say that after talking to the club, Harry Moseley will be honoured with a minute of applause for our next home game against West Bromwich Albion.

Speaking personally, having forged a relationship with Harry and his family through our initial Twitter conversations, and subsequently volunteering to help promote Harry’s campaign, I have to say I am incredibly proud of both his efforts, and of the response from our football club. Harry will be smiling down on Villa Park as he was always happy to see his campaign spread.

Speaking of Harry, Chief Executive Paul Faulkner said:

“Harry was a special person who touched all of our lives with his bravery, kindness and determination to help others despite his own suffering.

“Here at Aston Villa we were deeply saddened to learn of his passing after a long illness.

“Our deepest sympathies go out to his friends and family at this difficult time.”

Club ambassador Ian Taylor also added:

“I got to know Harry through Twitter. I went to visit him and his family, got involved in a few things that they were doing and the friendship just grew.

“He made me this claret and blue bracelet which I wear with great pride. That was part of his campaign – making bracelets to raise money for charity.

“Harry touched so many people’s lives. He was ill himself but he still wanted to help others. He put others first. Hopefully Harry’s legacy will live on.”

Harry Moseley passed away on Saturday at the tender age of 11 years old after a four year fight with a cancerous brain tumour. For those who still wish to contribute to his legacy, you can donate via http://www.helpharryhelpothers.com.
