Long term readers will know that an Aston Villa supporting friend of mine, Pete Gough, recently ran 310 miles in aid of Cure Leukaemia, the charity that fights the illness that struck down our former captain Stiliyan Petrov.

Pete spoke to me yesterday and wanted to let me know that he is getting a number of pin badge made up to mark his run – a fantastic achievement for the cause – so I said I would let our readers know if they would like one.

The above is the pin badge that Pete has had made. In order to get one, all you need to do is leave a minimum £4 donation via Pete’s wall at http://www.justgiving.com/pete-gough3 and state how many pins you would like in the comment of the donation. Please note that the minimum donation is £4 per pin, so a £20 donation would get you a maximum of 5 pins.

I know this piece isn’t the standard article we put up, but I wanted to raise awareness for the great work that Pete has done with the charity, and to raise awareness for Birmingham based Cure Leukaemia too – a great cause I am happy to put Aston Villa Life behind.
