As we all know, the season is finally over and we achieved a quite respectable 9th place finish. It does paper over the cracks somewhat, but I am glad we finished strongly. We will find out in the next few weeks whether we will have the same manager next season, or if change is going to come.
With the season drawing to a close there will be less items that we can cover in terms of game previews and reviews, but we will continue to provide articles as far as possible based on developments at the club.
Given that the nature of such news can mean that the occurrences are not daily, we would just like to let people know that we will not necessarily be producing an article every day during the close season. Obviously we will produce content where possible in order to keep things fresh and up to date, but there may be quiet periods where it makes more sense to just have a spare day without an article rather than doing articles for the sake of it.
Forum
With the focus of things moving more to the arena of rumour, transfer gossip, and other fast moving areas, I would like to take the time to promote the forum as the best place to discuss this with other Villa users. Given that the forum doesn’t require an article to be in place, and allows anyone to start a thread, it means fans can discuss things as and when they like, rather than having to wait for me to do a roundup on the blog.

Football across the pond
Also, and in keeping with creating more articles for comment our man in Denver, John Clark, will be keeping tabs on another team in claret and blue who play in the MLS – the Colorado Rapids. With the lack of Premier League action over the next few months, adopting a MLS team should allows us to have football stories from Mr Clark in his weekly column.
